The
purposes of the CLRIQ with regard to all members of Religious
Institutes
living in Queensland are to:
- enable all
members of Religious Institutes living in Queensland and serving
the Church
in Queensland to enter
into dialogue about matters
of common interest and concern
- encourage
and support women and men Religious in their way of life and
in their contribution
to the church in Queensland
- promote communication
between members of Religious Institutes, church bodies and the
Christian community.
The purposes of the CLRIQ with regard to
membership (see below) are to:
- provide
opportunities for the members for support and mutual co-operation
- foster
dialogue about matters of common interest and those
matters which members bring to the Conference
- explore
and review opportunities for collaborative ministry and action
- create
and sustain structures for collaboration between
* congregation leaders and bishops
* congregation leaders and church groups
* congregation leaders and relevant government and community
bodies
- facilitate
initiation and coordination of joint enterprises
- facilitate
the sharing of resources and apostolic endeavours
- promote
continuing formation in leadership
- encourage
ongoing reflection and research on Church and the role of Religious
- organise
representation on relevant groups.
MEMBERSHIP
- All Leaders
of Religious Congregations and Societies of Apostolic Life in
Queensland.
(The term “Congregation Leader” is intended to include
those Religious whose status is that of Superior General, National
President or Provincial Superior governing an entire institute
or province.)
- Any member
of a Congregation Leadership Team or Provincial Team who is resident
in Queensland while the Leader is resident in a State other than
Queensland and whose Religious
Institute
is responsible for Religious in Queensland who are appointed
to formal ministries.
- Any Congregation
Leader/Provincial or member of the Leadership Team or Provincial
Team where none are resident in Queensland but whose Religious
Institute is responsible for Religious
in Queensland
who are appointed to formal ministries.
