Social Action Office Interest Form

You can participate in the Social Action Office ministry in many ways - please indicate your interest by checking the appropriate boxes below. SAO will coordinate people and activites according to people's interests.

NOTE: You don't have to live in Brisbane or South-East Queensland to be involved in some of these activities!

As at May 2006 the Social Action Office has four priority areas: Industrial Relations, Indigenous Issues, Climate Change and Peace. The SAO invites you to be involved in any of the following areas:

I would like to be/continue to be part of the Industrial Relations Circle

I would like to be/continue to be part of the Indigenous Issues Circle

I would like to be/continue to be part of the Climate Change Circle

I would like to be/continue to be part of the Peace Circle

I would be interested in doing some paid project work (contractual) in the area of:

I would like to be a SAO network person in my area or region and be prepared to organise/run an event in my area (with SAO staff support)

I would like to write a book review that could be used on the website and/or in the newsletter

I would be prepared to come early to help prepare food and set-up for meetings/events

I would be able to come to the office every second month to help with the production of the newsletter – 1 hour approx. (folding and putting into envelopes)

I would like to do some “media watch” and feed the information back to SAO staff, regarding:

the Industrial Relations area

the Indigenous Issues area

the Climate Change area

the Peace area

I would be able to come into the office once a month to help with filing and library work

I want to offer my prayerful support for the ministry of the SAO

I would be able to give the SAO staff feedback and information regarding the priority issues from a GRASSROOTS PERSPECTIVE

I would be prepared (given enough lead-up time) to write an article for the newsletter
