Sophia Sabbath - A Day Retreat
The spirituality which is the foundation for the Social Action
Office's vision is centred on Sophia's transformative dream for
all creation. 'Sophia' is a feminine image of God often referred
to as 'Wisdom' in the Jewish and Christian traditions. She is
the creative spirit present and active in the ongoing creative
process bringing to life justice, peace and the inter-connectedness
of human life with all creation.
The Social Action Office is offering an opportunity to explore
this Sophia spirituality further. A Sophia Sabbath is planned
in November with Brother Alan Moss cfc to lead the reflection
day. Alan is a specialist scholar in Wisdom Literature at the
Australian Catholic University and has great expertise in his
field. The day will provide opportunity for input from Alan,
time for personal reflection and ritual.
